The NASPA Rating software has been updated so that it now automatically assigns initial ratings to players based on their existing rating in the other lexicon, if they have tournament experience but are new to CSW or TWL play. In conducting a thorough review of how the previous manual process had been implemented, we found several cases in which players had incorrectly been treated as entirely new to tournament play. We have therefore had to take the extraordinary measure of rerating all tournaments beginning at the earliest such incident (July 1, 2011) and proceeding to the present day. We apologize for the inconvenience; please understand that the measure was important for maintaining the consistency and accuracy of our rating system.
