The following message went out to our iContact list on 2014-09-25:

Dear NASPA Members,

We are working diligently with Merriam-Webster to update the Zyzzyva study and adjudication program with the new Official Tournament Word List, however we do not have a confirmed date for when this will be ready.

As you may know, it was voted upon by the NASPA Advisory Board that the TWL will not become official until two months after we make the Zyzzyva study program available for NASPA members. So while we do not have a final date, we can confirm that the new words will NOT go into effect on December 1.

We will keep you updated over the next few weeks once we can better confirm a timetable for when the Zyzzyva study program will be ready and when the new words go into effect.
