The World English-language Scrabble Players Association (WESPA) is an organization formed in 2003 to represent the players of English-language Scrabble games worldwide.
The International Committee represents the specific interests of NASPA players who play at an international level.
For more information, please refer to the WESPA home page.
In January 2025, WESPA announced that tournaments would only be sanctioned in the territory of its members with the permission of the local member involved.
NASPA represents the United States and Canada in WESPA. By default, all NASPA tournaments that use the Collins lexicon are eligible to also be rated by WESPA.
NASPA will currently approve WESPA rating of non-NASPA events in North America provided all of the following criteria are met.
Criterion | Explanation |
---|---|
The applicant must be a NASPA member in good standing at the time of application and throughout the proposed event. | Being a NASPA member imposes obligations under the Code of Conduct on the applicant. |
