Bennett Jacobstein will be running a trivia contest at the 2011 NSC, the first time such an event has been part of the official schedule. It will take place on Saturday, August 6 in the Lalique II Room, from 8:00–11:00 P.M. Bennett describes it as follows.

Do you know how many presidents have died in office? Or Ritchie Petrie’s middle name from The Dick Van Dyke Show? Here’s a chance to show off your wealth of general knowledge! Join us for a trivia contest on Saturday evening.

The trivia contest will have two rounds. In the first round, everyone plays and marks their answers on an answer sheet. The four contestants who score highest on the first round will play in the second round which uses a Jeopardy-style buzz-in format, while the rest of the participants watch.

There is no entry fee to participate. Winners will receive “trivial” prizes and great honor. Family or friends of tournament participants are also welcome to enter the trivia contest. No advance sign-up is necessary.
